Colloquium
Title/topic: The De-Evolution of Wellness
Description: The focus of this years colloquium is to examine how our wellness related habits (exercise, nutrition, health care products, etc.) have evolved into making us sicker rather that healthier. Rationale and application for how to "De-Evolve" will be presented by our speakers.
Speakers:
- Sean Croxton, Author Dark Side of Fat Loss.
Topic - How our current food choices make us sick (and overfat) and why eating "Real Food" is the answer.
- Dr. Vedantin Ping Luo, Professor CSU Stanislaus, Founder and Director of The Scool Yoga Institute and Dr. Derek Marks, Saint Mary's College.
Topic - Stress. An examination of how our "modern lifestyle" creates stress and how that stress leads to illness. Practice in 'ancient' forms of living will be shared, including Yoga, and meditation.
- Evelyn Lambrecht, Health Coach.
Topic - Our toxic environment. An examination into the sources of toxins in our food and health care products and the effects they have on our wellness.
