Contra Costa Times Covers Jan Term Speaker Robert Reich

The Contra Costa Times reports on the speech given by Jan Term Speaker Series guest lecturer Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor during the Clinton administration. A political economist and author of 13 books, Reich addressed a crowd of nearly 600 in the Soda Activity Center and zeroed in on a range of issues regarding the nation's ailing economy, including the decline of earning power among U.S. workers and the rise of total income in the richest 1% of Americans -from 9% in the late 1970's to 23% by 2007.
