"Talk Back to Socrates," Saint Mary's new week-long summer enrichment program for high school students, was profiled in the  Contra Costa Times. Modeled after the College's nearly 60-year-old Integral Program, the unique immersion camp for juniors and seniors is one of a handful of similar programs offered nationwide.  

Camp participants read directly from a selection of great books and learn to stand on their own two feet in rational inquiry and debate.  

Contra Costa Times education reporter Theresa Harrington spoke with several students in the camp and interviewed its director and Integral Program Tutor Joseph Zepeda for the story, which appeared online and in print as "The Socratic connection Students learn literature, science and art the old-fashioned way — by asking questions."
