Diablo Magazine's July "Best of the East Bay" issue features a large scale reprint of an SMC photo of married alumni Lyone and Teohn Conner '11 at the College's graduate commencement ceremony on May 22, 2011.

Wearing celebratory mortarboards inscribed with "Free at Last!" and "Out of Here!", their caps echoed the couple's feelings of pride, relief and achievement in completing Saint Mary's Master of Leadership program, while at the same time juggling day and evening jobs and the parenting of their one-year-old daughter.

Teohn (who played basketball for the College) and Lyone (who now works as an Assistant Registrar at SMC) also received their undergraduate degrees from Saint Mary's, which is where they first met and where they eventually married in the College Chapel.
