Robert Taylor, who covers fine arts for the Contra Costa Times, mentioned paintings from last summer's landscape exhibit at Saint Mary's College in a commentary column. He wrote:
There were plenty of revelations in last summer's landscape exhibit at Saint Mary's College. Peter Najarian painted Mare Island, of all unlikely places. Anne Subercaseaux depicted rolling hills near the Altamont Pass, but with a transmission tower planted boldly in the foreground.
One of Linda Grebmeier's paintings of the Benicia Arsenal -- glowing in low-angle sunlight -- was part of the Saint Mary's exhibit, and two more are on display at the Family Law Center in Martinez.
