Professor Barry Eckhouse has been appointed to the Executive MBA Council’s newly-formed technology panel, an international group of leaders in new media and higher education. Eckhouse will join Martin Bohm, dean of programs at IE, Madrid; Barbara Millar, associate dean at Darden, University of Virginia; Sarah Perez, director of EMBA programs at UNC Kenan-Flagler; and Michael Desiderio, executive director of the EMBA Council.
The Executive MBA Council strengthens the bonds among Executive MBA programs throughout the world and contributes to the advancement of executive education. It includes more than 200 colleges and universities that administer 300-plus programs in more than 25 countries worldwide, andserves as a voice for and a central source of information about Executive MBA education.
As the School of Economics and Business Administration’s director of technology and online programs, Eckhouse provides the School with vision and leadership in the area of instructional technology and new media. This includes development of new and existing programs, as well as curricular development in digital literacy and proficiency. He works internally with the school’s administration and faculty, and externally with various campus service and faculty groups to plan the effective integration of technology into SEBA’s academic mission.
