Dear Saint Mary's Community,
The SEED teach out that began last year contemplates periodic reductions in staff as enrollments in those programs gradually decline. This June 15, another eight full-time staff positions will be discontinued; the individuals affected by this reduction were informed yesterday.
These valued colleagues will have the opportunity to seek available employment opportunities elsewhere within the College. And, they have been offered the same separation benefits made available last year during the initial SEED staff reductions: severance pay; service credits or a lump-sum payment to assist with post-employment health benefits; career transition and related support services; and continuity of tuition remission or exchange benefits for current participants.
Prior to June 15, we will more fully recognize these individuals for their many years of dedicated service to the Saint Mary's community.
In De La Salle,
Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC
