Enactus is a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world.

“Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, the student leaders of Enactus create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe. The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world"

Participating students form teams on their campus and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. An annual series of regional and national competitions provides a forum for teams to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges. National champion teams advance to the prestigious Enactus World Cup. At present, 1,600 universities and colleges participate in Enactus, and compete at their respective regional and national competitions while producing millions of volunteer hours on Enactus projects.

In addition to the community focus of the program, Enactus’s career initiatives create meaningful opportunities for learning and exchange among the participants, as well as the placement of students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent.

As the Saint Mary’s College of California’s Enactus program, we seek to be avid supporters of  the School of Economics and Business Adminstration whose vision is to develop individuals who think globally and lead responsibly and the College's mission  related to Engaging the World.
