Faculty Presentations at Conferences
A number of faculty members are presenting at conferences or serving as panelists in February:-- Gloria Eive from Liberal & Civic Studies; presenting papers and chairing panels at the South Central Society for 18th Century Studies in Corpus Christi, Tex., on Feb. 5. The titles are "Gozzi, Goldoni, and Gluppi: Satire, Wit, and Parody" and "Ignazio Alberghi's Diary"
-- Paul Zarnoth from Psychology, presenting "Self-Anchoring as an Explanation for the Group-Serving Bias" at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology on Feb. 5 in Tampa, Fla.
-- Martin Rokeach from Performing Arts, Music, presenting artistic work at the festival at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., on Feb. 7.
-- Brenda Hillman, English, serving as panelist and doing a poetry reading at the Associated Writing Programs Annual Conference in Chicago on Feb 11.
-- Lysley Tenorio, English, serving as panelist at the Associated Writing Programs Annual Conference in Chicago on Feb. 12.
-- Ron Olowin, Physics/Astronomy, presenting a paper on "Jeffers and Neo-Darwinism" and chairing panel at the Robinson Jeffers Association in Boulder, Colo., on Feb. 13.
-- Cathy Davalos, Performing Arts, presented stipends for dancers in Davalos Dance Company concert, "Six Questions," choreographed to music of Marty Rokeach in San Francisco on Feb. 15.
-- Tory Courtney, Education, Multiple Subject Program, presenting a paper at the National Association of School Psychology in Boston on Feb. 24.
-- Myrna Santiago, History, presenting a paper at the American Society for Environmental History in Tallahassee, Fla., on Feb. 25.
-- Lino Rivera, Performing Arts, presenting a solo recital at the University of Illinois in Chicago on Feb. 17; and recital and lecture at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., on Feb. 27.
