Dan Leopard, Ph.D.
An associate professor in the Department of Communication, Leopard is an expert on the uses of media in education and on the history of film, television, and new media.
Leopard's research interests include digital culture, interactive media, documentary film and television, education and youth culture. He has published essays in Cinema Journal and the edited collections Joystick Soldiers: The Politics of Play in Military Video Games and Convergence Media History. His book Teaching with the Screen: Pedagogy, Agency, and Media Culture is due from Routledge in December 2012.
