What is my ID #?

ID #'s can be found on student identification cards or on the academic evaluations, available on Gaelxpress.

How do I get my GaelXpress password?

Students must have an active SMC e-mail account. Access Gaelxpress and request an account. A temporary password will be sent to your SMC e-mail account. Re-access GaelXpress and follow the instructions.

Who is my advisor?

Advisors are listed on the academic evaluations, available on Gaelxpress. To switch advisors you must contact Academic Advising.

How do I access Blackboard?

What is my Grade level for pre-registration?

The number of completed courses at the time of pre-registration is used to calculate grade level. Classes in progress at the time do not count.
Freshmen: 1.00 - 8.99 credits
Sophomore: 9.00-17.99
Junior: 18.00-26.99
Senior: 27.00+

Can I take a class at another institution over the summer?

Yes. Prior to enrollment for transfer credit, students need approval of the Registrar's Office to determine if the course is transferable and for how many credits. An official transcript from the College or University you attend needs to be received in order to obtain the credit(s).

Do we have summer school?

Beginning Summer 2009 Saint Mary's will offer summer undergraduate courses, please check the Registrar's webpage for the Summer 2009 course listings.

Do we have to take 2 lower and 2 upper division Jan Term classes?

No.

How do I order a transcript?

Transcripts are $5 a copy. Transcript requests must be submitted in writing, either in person or by mail, prepaid. A request form is available in the Office of the Registrar and also online. You may also order transcripts online, with a major credit card, through the National Student Clearinghouse at www.studentclearinghouse.org

How long does it take to receive a transcript?

A maximum of 3-5 working days is allowed for processing. A RUSH can be processed in 24 hours for $15.

How do I show proof of enrollment?

There is an Enrollment Verification form in the Registrar's Office and online which can be completed in the Registrar's Office upon request.
