What: In honor of the city's centennial celebration, works are featured by the many artists who lived in Piedmont or found mentors, muses, or patrons among its illustrious residents at the turn of the century. Piedmont's lovely hills and breathtaking Bay views drew artists and writers like Jack London there more than a century ago. The exhibition of rarely seen paintings, historic photographs, documents and first editions offers a sense of their life and times. The Hearst Art Gallery has partnered with the City of Piedmont to present this exhibition, the last of a yearlong series of events planned by city officials and community members in celebration of their centennial.
