What's up with the renovations?

Saint Mary's College of California is in the final stages of a $27.3 million renovation campaign. The goal is to provide our community with the best possible facilities for learning, teaching, working and living.
This page includes a progress report on large and small projects, including a list of completed projects and office relocations.

Breakfast, lunch, & dinner are served
Oliver Hall offically reopened this morning. The new food court features 7 different stations, including a pizza/pasta, bakery, and the Gael grill. "Cooked to order" stations include; international, vegan and deli sandwichs, and don't forget the salad bar.
Visitors Center is Up & Running
Renovations in Brother Jerome West Hall are nearly complete. Campus tours, prospective student presentations, and Admissions offices are fully functioning in this new space.
De La Salle Renovation, Phase II
- Renovations are nearing completion. The final "punch" list of items to be completed is underway.
Galileo Hall Room 116 (The new Math Lounge)
- The creation of a drop in math lounge is scheduled for completion by mid- November.
- Hours of construction: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Noise Level: LOW
- The VIP section and media room upgrades are underway.
A number of offices have relocated during the last six months. Last week the Dean of Students, Campus Housing and Community Life staff moved into newly renovated offices in Ferroggiaro Hall, 2nd Floor.
The Campus Activities Board, along with the pool and ping pong tables have moved to the first floor of De La Salle Hall.
Center for International Programs has moved into its new home in Brother Jerome West Hall (opposite Alumni Relations).
CILSA administrative offices have moved into the Power Plant space vacated by Facilities Services.
The Purchasing Office has moved into space in the Business Office.
Facilities Services has moved into its new home on the upper practice field.
The Career Develpment Center has moved into Brother Urban Gregory Hall.
The Campus Activity Board (C.A.B.), and the office of Reuben Greenwald has moved in the newly renovated De La Salle Hall.
The staff of Residence Experience has moved into the newly renovated first floor of De La Salle Hall.
Arcades: With the completion of the Oliver Hall kitchen project the offices and spaces located in the North/South Arcades, the Chapel, and the Alemany Community have been tied into a new cooling system.
Renovations to the Provost office and Academic Affairs conference room have been completed.
Assumption Hall & Justin Hall: Student Lounge renovation has been completed.
Augustine Hall, Phase II: The Health and Wellness Center moved into their newly renovated space on Feb. 2.
Automatic Doors: At the push of a button, these doors are now in place in all our classroom bulidings as well as Oliver Hall, Filippi Hall, Saint Albert Hall-Library, and the Cassin Student Union.
Ferroggiaro Hall: Improvements on the 2nd floor have been completed.
Filippi Hall: The President's Office is now located on the second floor of Filippi Hall. This newly redesigned space also houses the Office of Mission, the Cummins Institute, the Office of the Vice President for Development and the Office of College Counsel.
Galileo 113: Has been converted into a classroom/meeting space and may be reserved utilizing the Facilities Request Form on SMCnet. Access is via a combination lock. The combination is available from Facilities Services.
Justin and Mitty Hall Bathroom Renovations: Completed.
McKeon Pavilion 1st floor: The competition floor has been refinished, and improvements in the women's shower room have also been completed. Improvements to the men's basketball locker room have been completed.
Oliver Hall Kitchen Renovation Phase I & II: The faculty staff dining room and lounge have been completed and are open for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Rheem Campus: The exterior facelift and interior changes have been completed.
Warehouse: The warehouse space designed to house the Kinesiology Lab has been completed.
