The Company is extremely proud to showcase work from such enlightened and evocative artists who are not afraid to push boundaries. Saint Mary's College Dance Company has established a solid reputation around the Bay Area for several years. This prestige was extended nationally after the company's extraordinary performance as invited guests to the National College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts this past May. The Company performed a repertory piece, Fast Brass, by a well-established Bay Area artist Janice Garrett. Without a doubt Saint Mary's Dance Company display strong artistic skills, both technically and choreographically. Fragments touches upon some of the more delicate questions that probe human thoughts. The concert will display a range of in-depth exploration of humankind. In specific, the choreographers will be showcasing merely fragments of their own personal lives, inner struggles, political monstrosities, and social constraints that exist throughout. Each choreographer explores the essence of humanity through movement and gesture, while expressing his/her individual voices. It is truly going to be a spectacular and invigorating experience.
