  Blue Mass 2011

  In celebration of the Feast of the Guardian Angels, Saint Mary's hosted a traditional Catholic religious service for those engaged in public safety on September 30. An interfaith service of commemoration for those who have fallen in the line of duty followed the Mass.

  Ballpark Groundbreaking and Athletics and Recreation Corridor

  Saint Mary’s College broke ground on July 28, 2011 for a new baseball stadium, and announced plans for a $30 million state-of-the-art Athletics and Recreation Corridor.

  9/11 Tenth Anniversary Memorial

  A memorial service to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks began with the lighting of a "flame of remembrance" on the Chapel Lawn at 8 p.m., followed by a special Mass. The SMC Republican Club, in collaboration with ASSMC, created a memorial on the Chapel Lawn by placing nearly 3,000 flags to commemorate all who died in Manhattan, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
