  Ballpark Groundbreaking and Athletics and Recreation Corridor

  Saint Mary’s College broke ground on July 28, 2011 for a new baseball stadium, and announced plans for a $30 million state-of-the-art Athletics and Recreation Corridor.

  1863 Society Debuts

  Nearly 150 donors attended the inaugural event of the new 1863 Society (formerly the President's Club) on Sept. 17 in the Chapel. The 1863 Society, named for the year when Saint Mary’s was founded, recognizes our generous donors.

  9/11 Tenth Anniversary Memorial

  A memorial service to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks began with the lighting of a "flame of remembrance" on the Chapel Lawn at 8 p.m., followed by a special Mass. The SMC Republican Club, in collaboration with ASSMC, created a memorial on the Chapel Lawn by placing nearly 3,000 flags to commemorate all who died in Manhattan, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
