• Saint Mary's Celebrates the New Pope

  All eyes were on the Vatican as the world - and Saint Mary's - awaited the announcement of the new pope. The Mission & Ministry Center on campus was packed with community members, and when the announcement was made that Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina was selected as the new pope, the reaction was surprise - and joy!

• Ash Wednesday Celebrated with All-College Liturgy

  On Ash Wednesday, the Chapel was overflowing during an all-College liturgy to mark the beginning of Lent and introduce eight candidates for Confirmation. The SMC Chamber Singers and members of the SMC Dance Program offered a special vocal and dance performance of the meditation song, "The Deer's Cry." (Click any image to launch slide show.)
