• Border Crossing

  What if you had to show I.D. just to get where you want to go? To raise awareness of the barriers and borders many people in the world face, Saint Mary's Mission & Ministry Center and other campus groups created a simulated "border crossing" on March 28 on the Chapel Plaza. Students, faculty and staff had to show a College I.D. card to pass through the "border." If they didn't have the proper "papers," they had to take the long way around. “This is the reality for some people every day,” said Sister Jodi Min, who helped organinze the event, which received attention from local and national press.   Gaels Near and Far

  From East Coast to West, the Saint Mary's community rallied to support the men's basketball team.  Groups from Moraga, Oakland, San Diego and Omaha shared their photos with us.

  Selection Sunday 2012

  With an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament already assured, Saint Mary's could remain relaxed even as 62 teams were called ahead of them in the 68-team field.  The Gaels were given a seventh seed in the Midwest Region and will open the tournament on Friday against Purdue in Omaha, Nebrasksa.  Read more on SMCGaels.com.
