What : Gender, Families & Youth Sports, lecture and discussion

Who: Micheal Messner is professor of sociology and gender studies at the University of Southern California. His teaching and research has focused on issues related to gender and sport, men and masculinity, and gender violence. Professor Messner is the author of several books, including most recently It's All for the kids: Gender, Families and Youth Sports. He currently serves as the president of the Pacific Sociological Association.
