library collections campaign
Dear Parents,
You want your son or daughter to have every possible advantage for success.
You want their college education to broaden both their academic and personal horizons, and to equip them with practical skills that will serve them in any career they choose. Learning good library skills is essential to meeting these goals.
Nalui Garcia, like many Saint Mary’s students, knows that her research skills have been critical to her success. Our librarians and staff have helped Nalui excel by teaching her to research complex databases, journals, reference books, and fiction and non-fiction collections. What she can’t find at the College library, she has learned to find through Link-Plus, a service that connects her to dozens of other libraries. Nalui plans to study law and is grateful for learning research skills that she knows will serve her well in the future.
Support from SMC parents has always been critical to keeping pace with emerging technology and providing contemporary library collections. Your gift to the library today will have an immediate impact on your son’s or daughter’s academic experience over the next year by helping us stay current in a rapidly changing environment.
Please make a gift to the Library Collections Campaign to help your son or daughter, Nalui, and all Saint Mary’s students broaden their horizons and develop the best possible research skills.
Together, parents make a significant impact.
Sincerely,
Thomas L. Carter
Dean for Academic Resources
