At the recent grand opening of the Kalmanovitz School of Education, Brother President Ronald Gallagher told our guests that, “Teaching is a saintly vocation.” You and I know that it is also a demanding vocation.
One of the biggest and most costly challenges teachers face today is burnout. Teacher turnover drains American school systems of hundreds of thousands of dollars annually and undermines the level of teaching expertise our students deserve. When good teachers burn out, our children and communities suffer.
