WOMEN TO WOMEN: Demystifying Wine, An Exploration of Wine and Food

The first Women in Philanthropy Saint Mary's event was held Sunday, April 20th in Half Moon Bay at the home of Regent Sandi Feaster. This event featured the nuances of wine and cheese pairings. Featured wines were from the Alexander Valley, Napa Valley, and Dry Creek Valley. The last wine in the tasting was Brother Timothy 2004 Cabernet accompanied by fine chocolates and blue cheese. Wine Sommelier, Ellen Landis (www.ellenonwine.com) provided commentary on the wonderful wines that were tasted and how the wines pair with cheese and other foods. She also provided a perspective on what it takes to be a wine judge. It was a beautiful afternoon and everyone left learning more about wine and pairing wine.
