Our graduate and professional faculty and students embody an academic community that upholds the highest standards of integrity.

Graduate and Professional Academic Honor Code

  • Graduate and professional faculty and students are expected to read the academic honorcode and to uphold our instituion's long-standing high standards of integrity.  It is the reponsibilitly of staff, facutly and student members of our community to not only understand the code, but to respect the values and morals behind it.  Faculty members are required to report academic dishonesty to the Graduate and Professional Academic Honor Counicl.

Graduate and Professional Academic Honor Council

  • The Graduate & Professional Academic Honor Council (GPAHC) that upholds the code when violations take place prides themselves on instilling Lasallian values by unconditional positive regard for everyone involved in reports of suspected academic dishonesty.

Rehabilitative Integriy Seminar

  • Our view that the reporting process is a learning process rather than a punitive pusnishment is demonstrated in our Integrity Seminar which is required for students that have been found in violation of the academic honor code.   This is a 6 week peer-led seminar with curriculum created to enable our students to come to the realization that academic dishonesty negaively affects our entire community and degrades the value of the degrees our College confers.  We want SMC to represent a high level of integrity and respect for the authenticity of doing one's own work.
