Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
Welcome to 2006. I hope you all had a relaxing and refreshing Christmas season and break.
As we begin the January term and new winter terms for faculty and students, I wish to extend my best wishes for creative success to all of you, and safe travel for those many students and faculty who will be working on a variety of classes and service projects away from campus during this time. I, myself, am already in Ireland for the first part of my Jan term course and will return here late in the second week of January.
I will be sending out shortly a nomination form to Faculty and Staff interested in serving on the Celebrating Diversity Committee, which has been inactive for several years. There are many current and continuing initiatives and issues in the area of diversity which this college-wide committee can explore and report about. I hope to have this committee appointed to begin meeting during the Spring term. A description of the responsibilities of the committee will accompany the nomination form.
Best wishes for success also to the Mens and Womens basketball teams who stayed and played during the break and begin their league competition this month.
A happy New Year to all.
Sincerely in De La Salle,
Br. Ronald Gallagher
