All incoming students (first year and upperclassmen) are required to complete the Think About It online course BEFORE arriving to campus to prevent any academic holds.
Think About It is a 1.5-2.5 hours, Web-based alcohol education program utilizing a harm reduction approach. The information in the program focuses on prevention and education which is why the first part of the course is required of the student before arriving to campus. Following the first part of the course are two follow up courses which will be disseminated to the student later in the semester.
The program uses an interactive and situation based approach to educate students about the impact of alcohol on the mind and body and the importance of understanding consent for sexual assault prevention purposes. This flash based course provides a rich experience that will help to promote good decision making for all of our students. Whether or not you drink alcohol, Think About It will empower you to make well-informed decisions about alcohol to better cope with the drinking behavior of peers.
For those who need more information on accessibility options for the course, please contact Irene Umipig, Coordinator of Health Promotion at [email protected].
