About our speaker : Professor Ed Tywoniak (class of '75), joined the Saint Mary's faculty in 1978, is past chair of the department of Communication, and currently holds the title of Faculty Fellow for Curriculum and Technology. Professor Tywoniak has been the recipient of many awards, including the Alumni Association De La Salle Award for excellence in teaching and scholarship. He has written extensively on a broad array of topics including a recently published co-authored textbook entitled "Communication and Social Understanding" (Kendall Hunt, 2009).
