    The annual round of summer project work by IT Services finds no exception in 2015. Much of this summer work will go unnoticed, which is actually a good thing, because we recognize that the Saint Mary's College community has an expectation that the College's IT resources will work as they always have.   • Classroom Upgrades

    During the 2014-15 academic year, Professor Ed Tywoniak worked with IT Services as a leader of several focus groups wherein faculty could provide information regarding classroom needs, and specifically where our classrooms need repair or enhancements.     Watch this short video of Pope Francis hosting a Google Hangout with students from around the world including India, Spain, Brazil and the United States. The February 5, 2015 Hangout marked the end of the IV Scholas Occurrentes World Educational Congress to show how technology can help improve the education of students with disabilities.   • 3D Projection in an Anatomy Classroom

    During fall semester 2014, the Instructional Technology Team in IT Services worked closely with Professor Greg Smith, faculty member in the Biology Department, pertinent to a grant proposal that he had submitted to the Educational Technology Group (ETG) for review. Professor Smith had identified a 3D stereoscopic display system for use in human anatomy classes.   • Undergraduate Courses Pilot Online Classrooms

  • Some Praise for the "V" -- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Expansion

    In 2014, IT Services launched a pilot installation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in two classrooms in Garaventa Hall that contain dozens of student computer workstations.
