Event Description 

What: In support of the First Year Experience theme, Feast or Famine, we welcome Farai Chideya.

Who: Farai Chideya a 1990 graduate of Harvard is the host of NPR's News and Notes, founder of POpand, and award winning author of a seminal book on African American stereotypes Don't Believe the Hype: Cultural Misinformation About African Americans. She has been a correspondent for ABC News, anchored the prime time Pure Oxygen on the Oxygen channel, and contributed commentaries to CNN, Fox, MSNBC and BET. Her first novel Kiss the Sky: A Novel will be publish this coming May.
