Commencement
Final Term
BOTH the Degree Verification Petition ProQuest Approval Form and the Graduate Commencement Registration Form must be submitted and the fee paid by the end of the fourth week of the fall or spring term or the end of the first week of January or Summer Term in which you plan to graduate (e.g., the semester in which you expect to complete your thesis or synthesis project). After grades are posted, a degree audit will be run to determine if you have completed all of the courses required for the degree. If some requirements are still outstanding, you will be notified that your petition has been rejected by the program director. If all of the requirements have been met, the petition will be endorsed by the program director and the dean and forwarded to the Registrar. Upon favorable review by the Registrar, the degree will be posted and your diploma will be mailed. Commencement ceremonies are held at the end of the spring semester only.
Please refer to the Graduate Commencement Office's web page for important information regarding Commencement. If you plan on graduating and have not yet submitted BOTH the Degree Verification Petition ProQuest Approval Form and the Graduate Commencement Registration Form please do so by Friday, March 15 with your degree-processing fee. This is not a fee for participating in commencement. The degree fee is required in order to process your final degree. Note: Participation in the commencement ceremony is subject to KSOE program director approval.
Please view the notice for further information about completing your masters thesis/project.
