Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
All students who are in a Credential or Degree Program* and expect to complete their program in Academic Year 2014-2015, are required to register for Commencement and pay the $125 Graduate Commencement and Degree Processing Fees.
This fee must be paid and registration completed whether or not you will be participating in the actual Commencement ceremony.
*For students completing a Degree and Credential Program simultaneously in Academic Year 2014-2015, ONLY complete one Graduate Commencement Registration Form.
The Graduate Commencement Registration (GCR) Form must be submitted no later than Friday, March 13, 2015 along with the Graduate Commencement and Degree Processing Fees ($125.00 payable to Saint Mary's College by check, money order or cash only) to the Kalmanovitz School of Education (KSOE). This can be done in person by dropping off your form and fee to the KSOE front desk, Filippi Academic Hall (second floor) or by sending it via U.S. mail to this address:
Saint Mary's College
Kalmanovitz School of Education - Commencement
Moraga, CA 94575
Once you have given the GCR form and fee to the KSOE Front Desk, we will run a degree audit to determine if you have registered for all the courses needed for the credential or degree. If the audit process discovers any issues, you will be notified by your Program Coordinator so the situation can be resolved in a timely manner.
Note: Participation in the Commencement ceremony is subject to KSOE Program Coordinator approval. If you are not approved for participation, you will be notified by your Program Coordinator.
Official degree posting for Degree Programs only:
After the completed Graduate Commencement Registration form has been submitted along with the $125 Commencement and Degree Processing fee, the Degree Verification Petition ProQuest Approval Form must be submitted to the Kalmanovitz School of Education (in person or via U.S. mail as noted above). The form is submitted after all requirements have been met in order to post your degree.
Please view the Deadline Matrix for further information about dates for completing your master’s thesis/project within your term.
For those who graduated in Spring 2014 in a degree program:
Please note that there is a final process you must complete after Commencement to have your Degree posted. A Degree Verification Petition ProQuest Approval Form must be submitted to the Kalmanovitz School of Education after all requirements have been met. Please note that all the required documents must be submitted along with the form and this can not be accomplished until after final grades for your final term have been posted and you are able to access them on GaelXpress.
