Welcome to the Kalmanovitz School of Education (KSOE)
Phyllis Metcalf-Turner Ph.D
We're so glad that you are interested in the array of professional opportunities for study, scholarship, and service that we offer our students! I invite you to navigate our pages and learn more about our exceptional faculty, programs, and students.
The KSOE's history at Saint Mary's College can be traced back to one of the world's most recognized teachers, Saint John Baptiste De La Salle. With such a rich heritage, we are committed to the Lasallian prinicples that make our programs distinctively meaningful and transformative. We are an inclusive community of teachers and learners who strive to teach our students the values of collaboration, social justice, service to others, equity, ethical leadership, and global interdependence. We prepare students to improve learning opportunities for children and students from birth through adulthood. Upon completion of our programs, our graduates are prepared to teach in private and public educational settings and to serve as leaders in promoting academic quality, social justice, global awareness, and community engagement.
