Take advantage of these professional development opportunities in KSOE this summer.
Courses can be taken for Academic Credit or CEUs (Continuing Education Units):The Continuing Education Unit is a nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual's continuing education accomplishments. For teachers, 10 hours of instruction equals one (1) Continuing Education Unit. For counselors, 10 hours of instuction equals 10 hours of continuing education for MFTs, LPCCs and LCSWs. CEUs are sometimes part of criteria used for promotion and salary increases in some school disticts. Continuing Education Credit is also required for license renewal for MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs. (Saint Marty's College Graduate Counseling Program is a BBS pre-approved provider of CEUs, No. PCE #701.) Courses taken for CEU credit DO NOT carry academic credit.
