The Smoke Free Campus Initiative is in full force as Saint Mary's College paves the path to become the next smoke free campus in California.
This effort started in the Fall Semester of 2011 and since then both the Staff Council and the Associated Students of Saint Mary's College have passed resolutions for support. To reignite the dialogue regarding this initiative, a Town Hall is being held at Hagerty Lounge during Community Time (12:30pm-2:00pm) on November 28th.
ASSMC will be hosting a town hall meeting and PATCH will be facilitating the discussion. Experts from the California Youth Advocacy Network (an organization heavily involved in the UC System's decision to become 100% Tobacco Free) will be there as well! We hope you'll join us as we discuss the tobacco use issues that drive the initiative, the goals of a 100% Smoke Free Campus, and the different ways that you can be involved. Everyone is invited to join in on this dialogue to help educate the community about the changes that may be coming for our campus.
See you There!
