Thirty-one Executive MBA students and two administrators from La Salle University in Barcelona arrived in Moraga on July 24th to join the Saint Mary's College Graduate Business program for a 2-week course titled: "Seminar in American Business". This course consists of classes taught by Saint Mary's Graduate Business faculty and private company visits to Hewlett Packard, Old Navy, The Federal Reserve Board of San Francisco, Bank of the West and Ixia.
Two weeks prior to arriving in Moraga, the La Salle students participated in a Global Negotiations class in Barcelona with 24 Trans-Global Executive MBA (T-GEMBA) students from Saint Mary's College who were in Europe for a 10-day Global Immersion International Management course. This type of overseas immersion experience is part of the T-GEMBA experience, where participants attend classes with MBA students from partner universities and are exposed to the local culture, business and political environments through visits to local and multinational businesses, organizations and cultural sites with the goal of providing the participant with a global perspective.
On Thursday, July 28th, a festive mini-reunion was held at the Saint Mary's campus at sunset as the La Salle students, Saint Mary's faculty, T-GEMBA students and T-GEMBA alumni joined together for a cocktail mixer. Lots of hugs, memories and laughter were shared. Click here for pictures from the special evening.
