Lasallian Collegians is a student leadership program focused on the expression, understanding and development of the Lasallian Mission among the Saint Mary's student body. The Lasallian Collegians focus on the 5 Lasallian Core Traditions, the international scope of the Lasallian Mission, and contemporary expressions of Lasallian spirituality.
Participants commit a minimum of 5 hours per week on Lasallian Mission programs. You'll collaborate with Brother Michael Sanderl, FSC, Assistant Dean for Mission, and Carole Swain, Vice President for Mission. Lasallian Collegians develop Lasallian Mission programs and and invite students to get involved. Bi-weekly Community Nights and Check-In Meetings are held, providing opportunities to build community and share information on projects. Participants also attend the Huether Lasallian Conference in November and other Lasallian formation programs. Each semester the Lasallian Collegians select 5 programs to support, such as Halloween for Kids, the Women's Resource Center or Ministry to the Elderly.
Lasallian Collegians is the development of student involvement, leadership, and ownership with Lasallian Mission programs on campus. Lasallian Collegians is a 3 part-program that includes student employment, Lasallian formation, and student leadership development. The Collegians also gather regularly for discussion and formation about the Lasallian Mission. Participants in Lasallian Collegians represent eight Student Leadership Program Areas: Admissions Ambassadors, ASSMC Senate, Campus Ministry, CILSA, Club Leadership, Program Board, Recreational Sports, the Office Residence Life, and other student participants.
