The 5 Core Dinner has filled up at this time! Thank you for your interest.
The Lasallian Leadership 5-Core Dinner is an opportunity for current and future leaders within the Saint Mary’s Community to learn more about the Lasallian Mission and to explore what it means to be a leader in the Lasallian tradition. The idea for the 5 Core dinner originated at a fellow Lasallian school - St. Paul’s High School in Covington, Louisiana, where it was presented with great success.
We will gather to share a meal, share stories, and share our ideas on how to live and lead as Lasallians, united in mission. This mission is often expressed in Five Core Principles: Respect for All Persons, Faith in the Presence of God, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Inclusive Community, and Quality Education. Each of these Core Principles is valuable and important, but it is only in the combined expression of all five that the Lasallian Mission can be realized. Just as a table needs to have all the legs on the ground in order to stand solidly, so too do all five core principles need to be equally expressed in order to fully support the Lasallian Mission.
In order to explore each of these principles and how they relate to each other, we will sit down to a five course meal where each course will correspond with one of the five core principles. Six individuals from our Lasallian family have been invited to come and present their experiences regarding living the Lasallian mission.
