Peer Council
The Peer Council — combining critical thinking skills with opportunities to participate in leadership programs — is an opportunity to discover your personal leadership style while helping other students make ethical and responsible decisions.
Three Components
The Peer Council is a leadership program with three components: peer conduct, leadership skills and shared experiences.
Members
The Peer Council is comprised of approximately fifteen (15) students. Community Life determines membership from applications submitted by students. Students may be recommended for application through the President of the ASSMC, Resident Advisors, faculty and/or staff.
What is the time commitment?
Members' time commitment to the Peer Council will vary depending on activities and the member’s schedule, however, participants can expect to dedicate roughly three to five hours per month to Peer Council activities.
