Date & Time
Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Hagerty Lounge in De La Salle Hall
Dear Campus Community:
At the end of May this year, 8 of our undergraduate students were privileged to attend and present at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE). This was the third year our proposal was accepted, and SMC is the first institution to have undergraduate student presenters at this national conference, our own IGD (InterGroup Dialogue) Peer Facilitators.
You are invited to come to our Community Time event, Wednesday October 9, 1-2:00, in Hagerty Lounge (food provided) where you can share a similar experience as the conference attendees, ask questions of the IGD Peer Facilitators, and discover what they are bringing back to campus to enrich our community and beyond as a result of attending NCORE.
Along with the Peer Facilitators we are collaborating with Ethnic Studies to celebrate the students currently in their program, and introduce the newest minor concentrations in Ethnic Studies.
Please support our students and their commitment to creating enriching experiences that support diversity and inclusion on the SMC campus.
Bring a friend; bring a colleague; encourage students to attend,
Prof. Mary McCall
Prof. David Quijada
