The Byron Bryant Film Collection includes award winning and significant feature films released in movie theaters. The Instructional Video collection includes documentaries, theatrical performances (dance, opera, theater), interviews, some television series, etc -- everything except feature movies. Videos from both collections are located at the Circulation Desk.
You can do a keyword, title, or author search for movies or films (which searches directors) easily within Albert by choosing the Film/Video choice in the drop-down menu next to the search box, or by searching in the box below.

For any of these groups, you can sort the lists into a different order by changing the pulldown menu from “System Sorted” to the order you choose. For example, “Reverse Year” will show the most recent movies first.
You can use the “Limit/Sort” button to specify that you want movies in a particular language (eg Spanish, French), or in a range of dates, or with specific actors/directors.
If you're a student or staff member the loan period for videos is one week; for faculty, the loan period is two weeks.
Most videos that have been placed on Reserve for a class can not be taken from the Library, but there are viewing options within the building.
- Groups of 2 or more people can reserve an available group study room. Each room is equipped with a DVD/VHS player and monitor.
- Individuals can watch videos on one of the eight media carrels on the second floor. Each carrel is equipped with a DVD/VHS unit and flat screen monitor.
