Lisa (Gildea) Wilson received the Outstanding Teacher Award for the 2012-13 school year from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Livermore, California, Chapter. She was nominated for her enthusiastic use of new technology in her fourth-grade classroom, having secured more than $10,000 in grants for laptop computers in the classroom. in addition to using laptop computers at their desks, her students are learning how to be entomologists. Latin roots are taught as students study the scientific orders of insects.
