Incoming first-year students in Science majors may elect to participate in this exciting Living and Learning Community.
Science Theme Living Learning Community
Participants live together in Assumption Hall. Assumption Hall has a full kitchen, recreation lounge and study lounge. Live-in tutors specializing in the sciences and the humanities – along with dedicated live-in faculty – help create an intellectually stimulating and supportive community.
Residents of the Science Theme Living Learning Community will:
- Be provided with increased support in common basic courses, particularly in math, physics and chemistry, through continued learning with their peers, and advising and mentoring from science faculty.
- Participate in both formal and informal events of particular interest to the students in the program, including, field trips, team building activities, study groups, on-site tutoring, mentoring, and meals with the faculty.
- Gain opportunities for awareness and understanding of their abilities and opportunities in these fields.
Students are eligible to participate in the program if they are considering any of the following majors:
Math, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Health Science, 3+2 Engineering or Environmental Science.
