The Women's Resource Center, the Intercultural Center, and the Health and Wellness Center are partnering to bring you the fourth annual LUNAFEST® film festival and fund raiser. This eye opening event is dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities. It highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. This season’s program will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling - by, for and about women.
LUNAFEST® will take place in Hagerty Lounge at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 17th. Tickets cost $10 for non-students and $5 for students with proceeds benefiting The Breast Cancer Fund. You can purchase tickets at the door or online at http://lunafest2013.eventbrite.com/. Scholarships are available for up to 20 students and can be acquired by sending students to speak to Gillian in the Women's Resource Center. There will be a cash only raffle and dinner will be provided. LUNAFEST® is a perfect extra credit opportunity for Jan Term classes and is an ideal Residence Hall event so please consider encouraging your students attend.
