Consulting assignment working with 2 groups of Rockefeller Foundation “Next Generation Leaders” from across the country to inquire, respectively, into the questions: “How do we do our work while we navigate the power structures, join with others and nourish our minds, hearts and bodies along the way?” and “How can I claim my own power as artist/cultural worker and in that way help create more reflective and respected space for artistic/cultural workers in society in general and in the work for social change specifically?” - Founding Program Director - Presidio Graduate School (December 1999 - June 2004)
Start-up MBA Program for a new college that integrates practical business skills and entrepreneurship with values of sustainability, social responsibility and social justice. Co-developed and wrote overall program curriculum. Designed and taught the following blended (face-to-face and online) courses: Learning Community/Integrative Seminar, Entrepreneurship/Venture Plan, and Human Dimension of Leadership.
Professional Experience:
- Director of People and Organizational Development - Business for Social Responsibility (January 1995 - April 1999)
Directed human resource and organizational development functions at fast-growing business trade association dedicated to promoting corporate social responsibility. Led Diversity Task Force and coordinated the hiring of more than 80 people during 1998/99. Created and taught courses in BSR’s “Mini-MBA” program for staff members. - Executive Director - Indochinese Housing Development Corporation (February 1992 - November 1994)
Led non-profit organization serving 117 Southeast Asian immigrant families in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Managed annual budget of $550,000 and staff of 14.
