Dear Saint Mary's alumni,

I'm so pleased to be writing to you on my first day as president of Saint Mary's College. I am honored and excited about being here. Both my wife, Jane, and I have felt so welcomed by the Saint Mary's community as we prepared for this day. 

During the past two months I have had the opportunity to meet with individuals from across the College - Brothers, students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and donors - and I truly believe we are an institution poised to build on the wonderful strengths that have made us distinctive. I will spend the next several months getting to know you, listening and learning so that we can envision the next phase of Saint Mary's success together.

I have been so impressed by the loyalty and dedication of the College's alumni. I will be counting on you and your continued commitment to the betterment of Saint Mary's.

I was drawn to the College for its academic, Catholic and Lasallian mission, but I am quickly learning that those are only a few of the attributes of the College that make it a special place. I look forward to becoming a part of this wonderful community.
