Our College liturgies provide a viable witness to the Catholic identity and sacramental life of the College community.
The Brother's Mass: 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel. This Mass is open to the public. It is generously prepared by the Brothers of St. Mary's College and usually presided by Fr. Tom McElligott or Fr. John Morris. The assembly ranges from 30 to 75 people from week to week.
Sunday Night Student Mass: 8:00 PM in the Main Chapel. This Mass is open to the public and largely attended by students of St. Mary's College of California. Various priests preside from throughout the Diocese of Oakland, the Diocese of San Jose and the Archdiocese of San Francisco. It is prepared weekly by student ministers, a student choir and supported by the Mission and Ministry Center. The assembly ranges from 200 to 240 people from week to week.
Dia de los Muertos Altar: Friday, October 31 - Wednesday, November 26. Our altar of remembrance will be availalbe in the vesitbule of the Main Chapel for almost one month. Peoople are invited to bring photos of their loved ones who have passed on and dwell eternally with God. The altar will remain up until Thanksgiving break. If you bring a photo, please label it and have an email or cell phone number on the back. Photos that are not picked up by Nov 26, will be held in the Mission and Ministry Center.
All Saint's Mass: Due to All Saint's Day falling on a Saturday, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation. This year, there will be no All Saint's Day Mass at St. Mary's College.
All Soul's Mass: 8:00 PM, Nov. 2 in Main Chapel.
Liturgy of Lights: 8:00 PM, Dec. 7 in Main Chapel.
