The School of Business and Economic Administration's 65th graduate commencement was held on Oct. 12 inside the Saint Mary's Chapel. Seventy-nine students received MBAs, including the first 10 students to ever graduate from the SMC MBA program in Graz, Austria. An additional 20 students received M.S. degrees in financial analysis and investment management.
The commencement address was delivered by Ray DeRenzo MBA '88, executive vice president for product, programming and marketing at MobiTV Inc.
Chance Curtiss MBA '03, the vice president of new business acquisition at Keane, told graduates: "To paraphrase Peter Drucker, ‘Many of the most important decisions were made networking at lunch and dinners – yet there’s no MBA class on networking.' Consider the SMC Graduate Business Alumni Association that missing class – and tuition is free.”
