March 06, 2008New Spanish Textbook Co-Authored by Saint Mary’s College Professors
Saint Mary’s College Vice Provost Frances Sweeney and Associate Professor Lori Spicher, both of the Modern Languages Department, have completed their comprehensive Spanish textbook, “La voz: Fonética y fonología españolas.”The book explores the evolution of the Spanish language and the diversity of its modern dialects, including examples of the most prevalent phonetic variations in the Spanish-speaking world. In addition to the theoretical and scientific study of phonology and phonetics, “La voz” also targets audio comprehension and oral pronunciation.
