The December edition of In Dance featured Saint Mary's Liberal Education for Arts Professionals (LEAP) Program, which allows professional dancers to earn a bachelor's degree while pursuing a career on stage.“LEAP gives artists dignity and a future beyond their lives as professional dancers,” says program director Mark Baird. “It empowers them through higher education, and gives them the tools and support they need to discover and explore new areas of passion.”
