October 16, 2009CILSA's 10th Anniversary and Leadership & Social Justice Conference Covered by Lamorinda Sun
The Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action's (CILSA's) Oct. 17 Leadership and Social Justice Conference garnered attention from the Lamorinda Sun. The Contra Costa Times community edition - which covers Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda - highlighted the participation of Kathleen Kennedy-Townsend in CILSA's upcoming 10th Anniversary Awards Ceremony in February 2010. Kennedy-Townsend is the former lieutenant governor of Maryland, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and niece of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. Both the leadership and social justice conference and Kennedy-Townsend's planned visit are among several key events over the 2009-10 academic year that will acknowledge a decade of social justice advocacy and community engagement by CILSA.Read the Lamorinda Sun Article
