October 28, 2009Several Bay Area News Outlets Cover SMC's 10th Congressional District Candidates Forum
The 10th Congressional District Candidates Forum at Saint Mary's College was covered by a variety of local media outlets, including the Contra Costa Times, Univision's Noticias14, KPFA-FM, KTVU-TV and KPIX-TV. The forum featured the five candidates for the open seat - Jeremy Cloward (Green), Jerry Denham (American Independent), John Garamendi (Democratic), David Harmer (Republican) and Mary McIlroy (Peace and Freedom) - and drew around 250 people to the Soda Center.The Oct. 26 forum was moderated by Contra Costa Times political writer and columnist Lisa Vorderbrueggen, who took questions for the candidates from the audience. The forum was sponsored by the Contra Costa Times, the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley and Saint Mary's College.
